Mummy Pig, who already shares Peppa and George with Daddy Pig, has now revealed the sweet meaning behind Evie's name. The proud mum-of-three has named her newborn after her aunt. Speaking in a video on Good Morning Britain, Peppa told viewers: "Daddy Pig has just shared these pictures with me of Peppa's brand new baby sister Evie, named after Mummy Pig’s Aunt Evie."
Speaking to Grazia last month, Mummy Pig said that she had an array of boy names up her sleeve - but she wasn't set on a girls name just yet. "We’ve got SO many ideas for names. Too many, frankly," she told the publication.
"Knowing it’s a girl has narrowed our options down a bit - I’m not sure Peter, Percy or Patrick Pig really work as girls’ names. But it’s too difficult to choose now. When she’s here and looking up at me and Daddy Pig, we’ll just know the perfect name. That’s what we did when Peppa and George were born."
For those wondering where baby Evie made her grand entrance - the Peppa Pig family spared no expense. Mummy Pig welcomed her third child at the Lindo Wing in London - the same location where gave birth to all three of her children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.

Mummy Pig delivered at the ultra-exclusive maternity ward at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, where a single night starts at £5,900, with top-tier deluxe packages priced at £7,500.
Back at home, big brother George and big sister Peppa are said to be “over the moon” and counting down the moments until they can cuddle their new sibling. As for the proud parents, Mummy and Daddy Pig shared that they’re “looking forward to lots of happy snorts and sleepless nights.”
And fans won’t have to wait long to join the celebration themselves. A brand-new cinema special, Peppa Meets the Baby, lands in over 2,600 cinemas across 19 countries on May 30. The hour-long musical event will include 10 brand-new episodes, following Peppa and George as they get ready to welcome their baby sister.

Ahead of the big screen release, the gender reveal episode premiered on the Peppa Pig Tales channel on May 3, giving fans an early look at the moment that had everyone squealing with excitement.
Since its debut in 2004, Peppa Pig has become a global phenomenon, airing in 180 regions, translated into 40 languages, and spawning a billion-pound empire of books, toys, and theme parks.
